iPhone Editing Real Estate makes it impossible to edit

I should be able edit a vertical video on iphone....and technically..........I can but it is literally sized 1/3 of the screen.

1. Should be able to minimize all tools so just the video is seen

2. Should be able to pinch zoom and move to different parts of the frame.

Can't really do some basic editing without proper usage of screen real estate.
