Lagging

Hi i have used premiere pro on my Lenovo IdeaPad 5 pro 14itl6. Whenever i try to move my audio or clips i have experienced a lot of lagging and the audio and clips being missplaced. I have updated and looked for promblems on my laptop but there is nothing wrong with it and i have been able to use other editing apps without any trouble, so i think it may be a promblem with the app. Also is it possible to add keyframes to clips and the audio?
