Loss of audio quality when exporting

Question

Hello-When editing my video and listening to the audio playback in rush it sounds fine, but after exporting I notice significantly more noise that is distracting. For example between audio clips when listening on playback, the transitions sound smooth. After exporting it sounds choppy. Woild appreicate any advice. Thanks!

Which device are you using?
Have you tried exporting it through another preset?
Which device did you use to capture the footage?
What type of effects do you have in your project?
