Lots of duplicate files suddenly appeared (and seem to be on cloud)

Hi. A few days ago, I opened Rush and suddenly, there are lots of duplicate files in my home screen. For each project I've created there are 20+ duplicate files (that has a cloud icon on it). My original project file is still there (with a computer icon). When I opened the duplicate files they are empty. All my projects are on my laptop as I believe Rush no longer offers cloud. 

 

What has happened? I'm on a macbook Air, M1 chip 8GB. 

What can I do, besides manually delete hundreds of files one by one.

    Hello @MCChang,

    Thanks for the message. This bug is a by-product of interaction with a file-sharing service, like iCloud or DropBox. It occurs when you point such a file backup system to Rush. You may need to disassociate this action and then remove these empty projects. Unfortunately, there is no "batch removal" function, so it may take some time to delete these one at a time. Sorry about all this! Likely, the bug is due to the team discontinuing support for file sync with Creative Cloud.

    Hi Kevin,

    Thanks for the suggestion. I haven't changed any settings on my icloud or drop box. How do I check what backup system Rush is using on my macbook?

    Hi @Kevin-Monahan - I just went into Rush again.

    It looks like the majority of my project files that I could see last week (that had a computer icon on it) are ALL GONE! 😞  For each file name, I still have 30+ duplicates (now all with the cloud icon), and empty. Once i click a file (they are empty), go back to home, and these empty files now have the computer icon but are still empty.

    I have 3 project files left with my video content (I had 30+ projects before). Even in these 3 project files, Rush cannot find the audio file (I used the audio tracks in Rush). 

    I do not have any icloud or drop box or file sharing system connected to my Creative Cloud apps, and I haven't done anything different recently to cause these problems. 

    I tried to turn off wifi to find the local files. When I'm not connected to WIFI, only the few files (with computer icons) are showing. So which cloud is RUSH pulling my files from, and how do i check or change that? 

     

    Any suggestions / advice would be helpful.
