Need better support for vertical video

It's nearly 2023 and the whole world is using vertical video. I've made hundreds of vertical videos using Video Guru on Android but I thought that I'd give Premiere Rush a try since I have a Creative Cloud account and like the idea of storing my projects in the cloud.

So I've made a couple of vertical videos in Rush on my phone and each time I use the app I feel like I've been transported back to 2015. The UX is terrible for vertical videos - the preview window is tiny and there's no way to full screen preview. And there are ZERO pre built vertical templates. Editing is totally kludgy and limited.

I sure hope that Adobe has a team of 200 people working on fixing this because frankly it's kind of pathetic. Go download Video Guru and see how they and others do it.

At this point I have no choice but to go back to Video Guru until Rush is completely overhauled and someone makes some good vertical templates.

I gave it a try ...

This post was made over a year ago and Rush STILL apparently is complete unusable trash for vertical video. HOW, SWAY? How in the year of our lord 2023 is a major video editing powerhouse putting out this utter grandma ass app that can't easily work with the format that literally everybody uses for mobile content these days? Nobody is editing 2.35:1 Panavision on a damn phone.

Come on, Adobe. Burst forth into 2018 and make this usable. It's almost like people, myself included, have paid you thousands and thousands over the years for pro software and this nonsense is what we get for mobile.

Just make it so we can reai, e the panes to our liking. That's all you need to do. It's can't be that hard.

Wake up grandpa in the UX department and sit him down and tell him about "the vertical video that all the kids are using", ignore his diatribe on Scorsese and Nolan and wide-screen Imax film and just tell him to make vertical work or off to the glue factory with him.
