Newbie: Can't figure out basic starting points; speed and pan/zoom

I am a first time newbie having trouble getting past what seem to be basic steps.  I've watched tutuorials and read help articles.  But I can't seem to move forward.

I've created a project and imported a series of time-lapse photos.  I can play the video in the editing window but two things are vexing me.

First, Pan and Zoom are turned on in a very distracting and annoying way.  If I go to the Effects menu and turn off the switch, it seems to have no effect and the annoying pan/zoom continues.  How do I turn it off for the whole clip?

Simlarly, I want to speed up the time-lapse. Selecting the Speed menu shows the Range handles. But they are greyed out and I can't drag them or change the speed. How do I get them to turn blue so I can edit?

Is it because each photo is treated as a clip? If so, it's not at all clear how to assemble them into one clip for editing.

Hi there!

Sorry about that. We can get this checked.

  • Which device are you using for Rush?
  • What happens when you select the individual clip and turn off the Pan and Zoom? Does that work?

As of now, the speed feature works on videos.

Also, let us know if this article helps: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/premiere-rush/user-guide.html/in/premiere-rush/help/effects-panel.ug.html#pan-zoom

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Kartika

Thanks, but I figured it out. As I said, complete newbie.  I realized I was using a collection of still images, so I need to create a video first before I can try to apply video tools.  Well DUH! 🙂
