Pixel shift/glitch in original video file in Rush, but not after an export in Quicktime or Premiere

I can't figure out why a video file is making weird pixel shift/glitches in Premiere Rush, but not in Premiere Pro or Quicktime. If I export a new file in Quicktime using the same codec/format and drop it in Rush, it's fine. No glitches. In the attached video, the original file is first, the exported video is the second clip.

 

The original file is from a Sony a74, shot 4K, 30fps—nothing out of the ordinary. I've never had a similar issue in Rush with anything else before.

 

Thoughts? I don't want to have to re-export a bunch of files to make quick social clips in Rush. Sure, we could use Pro, but I'm also trying to solve for those on the social media team who don't know how to work with some of the complexities of Pro.

    Hey there, @JoshL@TP,

    Thanks for the information. I looked at the video you attached. Would you like to troubleshoot the problem?

    • Please try a test using footage that is in 8-bit 4:2:0 H.264, not 10-bit 4:2:2 HEVC.
    • Check the specs of the computer or device you are working with. Are you meeting system requirements? Check here: Adobe Premiere Rush System Requirements.
    • Update the OS for your computer or device.
    • If you have a Windows computer, update the video driver for the GPU.

    Hey Kevin, 

    Thanks for responding. To answer your questions, I'm on a new MBP 14" M3 with the newest version of Sonoma 14.5, and all Adobe apps are up to date. I'm kind of militant about updating apps and OS, to a fault sometimes. 

     

    As for the codec of the video file, it's H.264 straight out of the Sony. I've used files from this camera before and haven't seen any issues. Here's the info from Finder:

    OK, @JoshL@TP. I would like to see more info from the clip, though. I can't tell if it's 4:2:0 or 4:4:4. I use Media Info freeware in the "tree" view to determine that best. Can you download it and show me a screenshot? You can also go into your camera settings and give me the specs of what you are shooting there. Info is king in Rush because it often doesn't support the newest codecs, etc.
