Playback distorted in Premiere Rush

I'm having trouble with playback of uploaded movie files. Below is a screen recording by QuickTime uploaded to Rush. The file itself is not corrupted but when I upload into Rush the preview looks like this. When I render it, it also looks like this. This is on an iMac with 24Gb RAM. 

 

Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me. I have more information now too.

 

It's Adobe Rush v1.5.8 (550).

Hardware:

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 20915),

Processor 3.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5,

Memory 24GB 1867 MHz DDR3,

GPU AMD Radeon R9 M390 2GB. 

 

This only happens with screen recordings by QuickTime, all other movie files are fine, and I could only reproduce it when it was a recording of the screen in Blender, other screen recordings seem fine (I've tried screen recordings of Lightroom as well as less intensive screen recordings). The file itself plays fine in other previewers (although I only have QuickTime and Apple TV to check it on).
