Premeire Rush and Premiere stutter and lag

Hi Guys,

New to the forums here. New to using Adobe products, but using the Premiere Rush or Pro is extremely laggy and slow. Here are the specs, which I think should have been ok to edit small video files.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 4750U

RAM: 32GB

Graphics: Integrated Radeon 1.70Ghz

Disk: 512GB ssd

This is ThinkPad X1.

Reading at a few posts on here seems that Adobe doesnt play very well with Ryzen, is that true? CPU and memory spikes up as soon as I open my project, which has 6 4K clips totalling ~2 minutes. Editing a clip on there is nearly impossible.
