Question

Premiere Rush 2.0 HEVC

I am getting the pop for "This file requires the HEVC codec which is included with a Creative Cloud membership. To upgrade to a paid plan, go to..."

I 100% have a paid for plan and never ran into this ever before. I only film on a gopro and have been for the last few years... What am I doing wrong?

I 100% have the HEVC plug in paid for as well on Windows and have had that for a very long time.

Any help!?

This is an issue that others are having as well... Please see the following related Forums thread:

This file requires the HEVC codec which is included with a Creative Cloud membership. To upgrade...

Most importantly: Please vote & comment on the official Rush bug report here:

Also if anyone is wondering... Want to know the work around? Purchase the adobe media encoder... Literally the only way I got it to work. Never had this problem EVER. Now all of a sudden I do....

Hi Mitchel Y.!

Sorry to hear that. Do you see this error in a particular project/file? Does it appear while doing something specific in editing?

Let us know.

Thanks,

Kartika

Its actually any video file I use. Whether its from my gopro or even my iphone. I always keep getting that same message that I can't use the file.

This is highly irritating. I've been using Premiere Rush and now all of a sudden I'm getting this error and cannot process videos from my iPhone. Really makes me just want to cancel my CC subscription I've had for many years for Photoshop, Lightroom, etc. NO REASON I should not be able to process a video! It always worked fine before.
