Premiere Rush export changes

Hello,

Year ago i used the free desktop version of Premiere Rush, to edit a few videos. At the end of the edit i could export videos locally in 4k resolution. Now after a year i wanted to use it again, but now i'm only able to do it in 1080p.  The 4k option is blocked by violet/white star icon, and on the bottom it says exporting in 4k is a premium feature.

When did it change? I am 100% certain it was a free feature back in february/march of last year.

I tried to search it online, but i think people are still able to export it in 4k, as i've seen some post on Reddit, that stated it is a free feature on Adobe.

Hi @Pete91,

Is the first clip in your sequence a 4K clip? It has to be. Please check that.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hello @Kevin-Monahan

Yes, the first clip is in 4K, i even tried with another fresh 4K clip, and started new project, but still am unable to export the video.

Hi, @Pete91,

Sorry that I don't have the answer for you right now. It certainly could be a former workflow that was deprecated. After all , it is a "freemium" tool meant to move you into a subscription by design. Sorry for the disappointment.

Cheers,
Kevin
