Premiere Rush + GoPro 9

I saw that I have Premiere Rush as part of my photography plan, was excited since I just got a GoPro 9 recently.

I have recorded some clips today using HEVC, the list of supported formats includes HEVC:

HEVC (H.265)H.265 media with resolutions up to 8192x4320

 

When I try to add these clips it says the codec is not supported and I should go to www.adobe.com/go/video and later on it gives me that generic error.

 

Is this something I cannot do in Premiere Rush and need the full Premiere Pro? Seems like per the supported format table I should not be having this issue with HEVC from the GoPro.

Hi there,

I wrote with the technical support for a long time. apparently you have to buy rush as a subscription and thus also the codec. I bought the codec myself from microsoft and installed it. apparently that doesn't work either.
