Premiere rush not recognizing video files

I'm having a strage issue with premiere rush where it is not recognizing any video files (Desktop, windows, version 2.0). It won't let me import them (they don't even show up in the finder - I checked and filtering is turned off) directly through the app or using the "open with" pathway on the file explorer. It also won't let me drag and drop. I've tried in MOV, MP4, MKV, and AVI video formats. I've updated, uninstalled and reinstalled the application and am still having the same isse. I've also cleared out my cache
