Premiere Rush not supported on most Android Phones

Hello, it's disappointing that Premiere Rush is supported on so few Android Phones, and mostly old phones at that! I appreciate that Adobe wants to verify that it works, but with so many phones available on Android, it seems Adobe is destined to disappoint the majority of Android users!

I'm still using Premiere Clip on my OnePlus Nord, and was before that on a Moto G6 - it works great on both these Android devices, but obviously it being no longer supported, Rush is the recommendation!!

But Adobe has decided to do things differently, which means that users of Premiere Clip can't upgrade, because most Android phones are not supported on phones that use Clip.

Yes I know there is a page with supported devices - sadly this doesn't help address the issue, and it would mean getting an old phone, because Adobe doesn't appear to support new phones, because they have yet to be verified - a very sad catch-22.

Please could someone raise this with the marketing and technical teams, and help them understand they are shooting themselve in the foot and disappointing their customers. Please stop shooting yourselves in the foot and find a better way to support you customers with your otherwise fab products.

Many thanks

David

So, having tried the Adobe Express APP for mobile, whilst it appears that the APP will work on any Andoid phone, it is not a good alternative to using Premiere Rush, because you can't edit video within the Express APP.

It would be great to hear from Adobe about their plans to make Premiere Rush APP available for more Android phones, not just those currently supported. It does appear that they are shooting themselves in the foot with the current strategy, Android users are not going to take up a subscription if the APP is unavailable / not supported!

Looking forward to hearing from Adobe.

Rush can not import 8K video from Android. Open your camera video settings and use UDH 30 instead. Those files can be imported and edited i Rush.

Just to give it another voice, after trying to Install Rush on my Android-Phone. It is a bit disappointing, that Adobe on the one hand advertises Rush as the better solution an on the other hand does not make it available for (obviously) many Android-Users.

Still hoping, that one day it will be available for my mobil hardware, I try to convince myself that the Desktop-Version will do for now.

Adobe Express in my opinion is no alternative for video on a phone, though ist might be strategy to merge those products in the future.

I just purchased the Rush Premier for my laptop and then realized it won't work on my phone. That is really disappointing.

You can also use Premiere Rush on a computer if it doesn't work on your phone.

You can also create videos or perform video quick actions using Adobe Express (either as an app or in the browser on desktop):

Thank you Myra,

I was recommended to use Rush as an upgrade to Clip, but it's good to know that there may be an alternative. Whilst it seems there are video options, everything on Express does seem to be geared towards images and documents, and it says short videos!

OK, so I've downloaded the Adobe Express App, clicked the + to start a new preoject and sadly it only provides access to photos, I've looked at various menus and it doesn't provide access to videos!

Do you happen to know how to access videos with the Adobe Express App?

Many thanks

David

You should be able to upload a video from your device when creating a video with Adobe Express. Here's more information about how to create a video with Adobe Express:
