Premiere Rush won't recognize videos from video files

I'm trying to import videos that were mostly all taken from a Pixel phone, but it's not recognizing the vast majority as video files. It's trying to say many are audio only, despite some of the files showing up totally fine as videos and taken from the same device. The video files play totally fine via Windows Media Player. I checked working and non-working video files via the Adobe Media Encoder app, and they're both encoded the exact same way: HEVC (H.265). I've tried rolling back to other versions of Premiere Rush to see if that changed anything, and also tried deleting the video cache. Both unsuccessful. I also tried opening the files in Premiere Pro, but the same error occurred. The web-based Adobe Express recognized them as video files, though...

 

Any advice or potential solves?

    Hi @Adam34400056rv19,

    Thanks for the message. You are editing HEVC files, right? The problem might be related to your Creative Cloud subscription.

     

    Is this the "starter" version of Rush? If so, HEVC files are not supported with that subscription. Let us know which subscription you have so that we can troubleshoot further.

     

    If you do have the starter version of Rush, you can transcode the files in Shutter Encoder to H.264 or ProRes LT. That would probably be the workaround for you. Let us know if the advice helps.

    Hi Kevin,

     

    No, these aren't HEVC files. The video files I'm trying to work with are majority .mp4 with a few .mov here and there. It's weird because some of the files will work, and some won't, but I can't find an explanation why. It's definitely doesn't have to do with video length though.

     

    And I have an "Adobe for Enterprise" account.
