Preview Screen Green

I am pusing a pc - windows 10. I can see the video across the bottom where you edit, but the preview screen is just a big green square. 

I have tried turning the program off, shutting down the computer etc. But it is still the same every time I open it. 

Why is this?

    I'm having the same issue except my screen is black. I have turned on the sync, reset the prefrences and turned on the 'use optimize clips'. I was using the trial version and I even purchased the monthly subscription to see if it had something to do with that and it is still black. I even downloaded the app on my phone and the screen is black there too.
