Problem displaying rush images and sharing

Hi,

I had rush installed on my computer and decided to do the update showing up on my adobe account; however my computer was extremely slow and seemed to be bugging so I had to cancel the update. I then tried to do the update again but kept on having the update stoping at the same pourcentage of download, so in the end i decided to desinstal rush in order to install it again; however, I'm now having problems with the images of my projects being shaky or disappearing altogether and leaving a black screen when I press play. The sound seems ok so far, but the images and graphics I'm adding are shaky or not appearing at all, or appearing and disappearing and it's difficult to add any effect at all while creating the video.

Does anybody know what I can do about that to have rush go back to normal? I have tried desinstalling and reinstalling it quite a few times and it hasn't solved the issue. I even tried desinstalling it, restarting my computer and then reinstalling it with no success...

Thank you so much with your help with that!

We'll need more info about your system and media, Maya. Tell us, did any of the projects you are having trouble with older projects that were begun before Feb. 1, 2024? Creative Cloud sync services were discontinued then, so that could play a part in all this unexpected behavior. More details and info would help!

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,

Thank you for your reply! What do you mean exactly by "needing some info about my system and media"? I’m using windows 10 on my computer. I had installed rush on my system when it was made available. I guess a year or two ago… and didn’t install any update since the first installation. I haven’t used it either. I just tried creating a few videos but didn’t share any of them to save them on my computer. I created one video which i shared to save on my computer before I run the update and it was working fine. However, rush was saying I could only do 3 shares as a trial or something like that… (before the update. It's not saying that anymore)

What do you recommend to do in such situations? As I mentioned in my previous message, I have already tried unsinstall and reinstall and I saw no changes. Rush is still not working properly. Images are either not showing up or appearing really shaky. And it's not allowing me to share those videos on my computer to save them.

I have seen the creative cloud cleaner tool and was wondering if that could be helpful? I’m not too comfortable using it though as I’m using lightroom and have got quite a lot of images saved on it, so wouldn’t want to lose these files. Is it safe to use  creative cloud cleaner tool in that instance? And can I use it only for rush or will it also clean the lightroom application?

Thanks so much with your help with that!

Hi Maya,

Sorry if my questions were too cryptic. Video editing requires a lot of resources, and things can go wrong if you use a computer that is not powerful enough to handle certain kinds of video footage. Ironically, mobile phone footage is hard for many computers to handle.

What we are looking for here are your computer specs. You can search your computer model online and look for the following things.

CPU: What kind of CPU is it? Intel or AMD? Try to get the model number. i7, i9, etc.
GPU: What is the GPU that is installed on your computer?

RAM: How much RAM is installed in the computer? Is it 16GB or more?
Hard Drive: What kind of hard drives are you using for the computer?
Media: What kind of media is it? Is it 4K or HD? Is it H.264 or HEVC? Did you shoot it with a phone?

I wouldn't use Adobe Cleaner yet, so you can hold off on that. I hope we can help you with a bit more info.

Thanks,
Kevin
