Program shows not responding pop-up

I have updated my program to version 1.5.44 on my Acer Aspire 3 Windows 10 laptop.

Since the update, the program is extemely slow and and then a pop-up message comes up "not responding" (in picture below)

Has anyone else experienced this or have any suggestions?

Would appreciate an urgent response.

Can you share your system details (CPU, RAM, GPU)?
What's the source of the footage that you're editing?
