Request to add more approved devices

Hello all.

Long story short, I would like the minimum requirements for Premiere Rush to be based on hardware/software specs -not a small list of specific supported models.

Play Store tells me my device (Samsung Tab A8) is unsupported. When I looked at the minimum requirements, though, instead of specs, there were only specific approved make/models. My device meets the hardware specs (one approved device is the Pixel 1) and is not an obscure brand (other Samsungs are supported).

I raised a ticket with Support (# E-001137987), who told me the listed requirements were final -but to contact Adobe Enterprise Support, whose engineers had the power to make such changes. I finally received a reply from EntSupp today, who only sent me to the Wish Forms -which sent me to this forum.

We can all be wrong, so let me know if I'm missing something or approaching this from the wrong angle.

I understand that making changes within such a large company can be difficult; however, I don't feel that my request is illogical or far-fetched, so I remain hopeful.

Thank you for reading.

Hi @It's Nate,

Thanks for the response. Others have already established your feature request before you. I will add your post to the bug. I'm unsure why Enterprise Support pointed you to "wishform," which is incorrect. This forum is the proper place to enter a feature request. I will do my best to advocate for updated devices to be added to system requirements. However, it's up to the developers to implement it. I am not on the product team; I'm in support. Sorry, I couldn't be more helpful.

Thanks,

Kevin

Thank you for the feature request, @It's Nate! As a support person and avid user of Rush, I agree with you.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the next step?

As a support person, does that mean you will forward this on internally? Or should I should I pursue this with ECS again? ...I just can't help but feel that posting my request to such a vast forum is kinda the end of the road. 🛣
