Rush crashes on mobile (iPhone 12 Pro running iOS 15.6.1) on playback and exporting

Rush crashes constantly on my iPhone 12 pro running iOS 15.6.1, especially during playback and exporting files.

Here's my workflow:

  1. Shoot video on Canon EOS M50 Mark II in 4K.
  2. Upload footage to Rush desktop app on a MacBook Pro running MacOS Monterey 12.5.1.
  3. Allow to upload fully and sync on creative cloud.
  4. Open iPhone 12 pro and open project that I started on desktop version.
  5. Allow files to load/sync so I can start editing.
  6. Start editing and saving periodically.

Since last week, I cannot even press play on a project without the app crashing. Maybe I can get a few seconds in. If I am lucky to finish editing without crashing, I will attempt to export the project and it will either crash immediately or get to like 1-2 percent and crash.

I have been having to do all my work on the desktop app, which works, but I much prefer to work on the mobile app as I find it faster to pinch, tap, swipe etc. I would be so grateful for any help anyone can provide. I edit videos for social media and the mobile app is my lifeblood. I really do not want to have to switch to another mobile editing app.

I can no longer use the Rush app on my iPhone. Will start using another app. Hopeless!

Hi @mariel56758931,

Have you tried updating Rush? That can fix this issue. Try it and let us know!

Thanks,.
Kevin

It doesn't work. This issue only started when you changed the app. I have wasted such a lot of time trying to do something which used to be easy. There are lots of users experiencing the same 'no network' when there is a network and constant crashes. You really must sort this problem out and FAST.

i will have to use another app now. Very disappointed that ADOBE lets a bug like this get through and continue unresolved for soooo long
