Rush Crashing on Surface Laptop 6

Hi,

We have two student cohorts on the new Surface Latop 6 (about 300 students) and a large handful are having issues with inserting videos into their projects (Rush goes into Unresponsive mode).  Images seem to be ok.

People seem to be suggesting that this is a hardware compatability issue with the ARC GPU and Intel Core Ultra processors.

We've made sure everything is up to date, and not all students seem to have the issue.

This is really impacting our student learning experience.

Our Surface Laptop 6s have the Intel ® Core™ Ultra 5 processor 135H and Intel® ArcFootnote™ Graphics, 16gig shared memory

Cheers!

Hi @Bobbie23470564t86k,

Thanks for the note. I read your students can't work because they aren't meeting system requirements for this specific hardware. I would move the students to Premiere Pro to be compatible with this hardware. Is that possible?

There is no news from the product team or announcements about this situation currently. Sorry about that.

Thanks,
Kevin

Thanks for the prompt response @Kevin-Monahan

Whilst yes, it's possible for students to use Pro, this is a steep learning curve which the teachers are not prepared for, for this teaching period.

It would be great to see commitment/an ETR from Adobe on resolving this one.

It seems like, in the mean time, we need to move over to Microsoft Clipchamp.

Cheers!
