Question

Rush crashing with iPhone export

What is the point of having a mobile app to render videos when they can't even be exported.

I've done a video in Rush but every time I go to export it the app crashes on my phone!

I have an iPhone 15 Plus Max and I'm so frustrated.

Kind of defeats the purpose of being able to ‘develop on the go’ when I actually can't!!

Not happy at all

Oh! Plus my iPad and iPhone don't even sync up.

They have completely different projects on each device yet I'm signed in with the one cloud account!

Again what's the point of a cloud account when it doesn't even sync or for that matter not work at all.

Hello @Picardie1 and @Fra_Wi4944,

Sorry for the issue. It might be format-related. Rush hasn't been updated lately to accept some of the newer formats. Sorry about that.

A test you can try is to shoot some clips in "most compatible" mode. You switch your iPhone's camera settings for that. Let me know if you can export these clips smoothly. I hope the advice helps.

Thanks,
Kevin

Well, why hasn't it been updated? I have had my phone for over 10 month now.  How can I shoot the same footage in a more compatible mode? Are you kidding me? It has been shot. I wanted to edit the not been able to recreate scenes on my phone. Thank you for nothing. (Not you personally but your company.) Bought LumaFusion for 10 bucks, works like a charm on my iPhone 15 Max.

I'm sorry. I was only trying to help, @Fra_Wi4944. This is a user-to-user forum. I am not on the product team, so I am unsure why the app might not work with some of the more recent innovations. I'm a fellow Rush user using an iPhone XS Max and it works without any issues.

The most compatible settings are in your iPhone's camera settings. Using footage from this mode (H.264), there is no detectable quality difference.

Glad you found a way to edit footage. Let the community know if we can be of any help in future projects.

Thanks,
Kevin

Same here iPhone 15 Max. After 1 hour editing I tried to export and every time it crashed. I tried every setting 4K, 1080, 720.
Very very frustrating!
