Question

Rush won't render project

Out of nowhere, rush refuses to render my project. Sometimes it stops after a few seconds, then it doesn't start at all. I can cancel the render, but then Rush crashes entirely and I have to force quit the app.

I have tried EVERYTHING in the forums. From redownloading adobe creative cloud entirely, resetting to previous versions, deleting titles, empty cache, sync and export on premiere pro (but also there it crashes), lock all tracks, export in low quality, ...

I thought it might have been the videos I used, but even after creating an entire new project with just 1 picture/video of 10 seconds, it still won't render.

Is there anything in 2022 that might work in order to fix this issue?

The laptop is fairly new and definitely strong enough.

The same thing keeps happening to me.  I've looked this up over and over again and have followed all instructions... Still won't render a simple 02:50:17 video!  Less than 3 minutes long - smh.  So frustrating.

My last resort, just in case you had not yet tried it, is to toggle the Rendering and Playback options in your Preferences:

Check (or uncheck if previously selected) the Enable hardware acceleration encoding and decoding, and then RESTART Rush. For added measure, let's give Rush a memory flush while restarting it by holding the CTRL+SHIFT keys while clicking the Rush icon to open the app.

When Rush restarts, try creating a simple (one video, no graphics, titles or extras) project, or exporting the default Rush Sample project first, just to test it out. If it works, your project should be next up to try out... and remember that if you have it SYNCED to the cloud, make sure it is FULLY SYNCED before you start editing! (If you see a blue semicircle in the corner next to the Undo/Redo arrows, wait for it to complete and disappear before doing any additional editing or switching into Export mode. Kind of like making sure you didn't leave your coffee on top of the car before you drive off LOL.)

Hope this helps!

Thank you very much for your answer!

I've tried what you suggested and created a very basic sample. It did work and exported in a matter of seconds! Sadly, all my other projects still won't render or stops rendering after about 2 seconds ...

Everything is synced fully and even with deleting all titles and/or animations, it won't render. I felt like it had to do with the high quality videos. But even with low quality or even just 2 videos of 10 seconds put together, it refuses to fully render. Same thing with just pictures.

I'm afraid I won't be able to fix it.

I am having the same exact issues and it seems many others have also for quite some time. What is Adobe doing to address this problem?
