Question

Select a clip from a video in premiere rush on iPad and save as a seperate mini video

Hi All,

1st post on this forum. I have installed Premiere Rush on my iPad and I want to be able to extract a smaller portion of a video from any point in the main video and save it as a seperate clip (video) with a different name . For example if the full video is 10 minutes long, then I may only want to extract 1 or 2 minutes at a time and give it a name or number.  It will only be saved to my iPad, not social media. I cannot  find any written instruction  or video instruction  on how to do this.

Can anyone give an idea how to achieve this,

thanks

Nick

Hi Nick!

Thanks for writing in. You can try duplicating sequences: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/premiere-rush/help/duplicating_sequences.html

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks again,

Kartika

Hi Kartika

Thanks for your reply. It sort of works but I've still had significant problems following the explanation in the link you posted. To me it is not entirely logical. It would be better if when the clip is selected in orange on the timeline and you tap it , then an orange box reveals above it with ( split, duplicate seperate audio,& delete) then the option to "export to camera roll" or with a link to the "share"option on the top of the page along with those other options would then  clearly indicate what is going on . The main usage I have is to seperate clips from a larger recording. If my explanation isn't up to scratch let me know and I'll try to refine it next post,

cheers

Nick
