Question

Sound slow in Rush

I tried editing my first test video and noticed the sound is slowed down in both the video clip, and the mp3 audio I added to it. The video plays at normal speed.

The sound was slow during the edit, but I thought maybe that was normal. I exported the video and the sound still plays extremely slow.

I use the Desktop version on Windows 10

Any help?

Same problem on the Mobile app. I am not goding to use a media encoder to save my mobilemovie to another fornat so Rush will work...guys, it is 2024...99% of ALL filming on this planet are via a Mobile phone.

Also having this issue with rush, even after the most recent update. The sound is fine in the pro app, but I'd prefer to use the less complicated rush app for this particualr edit. Seems to be a problem only with rush..

Hi @Ashlyn35704883ls2u,

Thanks for writing to the community. Premiere Pro supports H.264/HEVC files that contain variable frame rates. For Rush, you may need to transcode variable frame rate media. Try Media Encoder, Shutter Encoder, or Handbrake to convert the media to a constant frame rate. ProRes LT works great, but you can also convert back to H.264. Try that as a test and report back to us. I hope the advice helps. Sorry for the issue.

Thanks,
Kevin

I have this issue too. The mobile app doesn't have this problem. Don't understand why one version of the app works and one doesn't. Rush has so much potential and is so helpful to me as a social media manager making simple things and not more complicated videos that need Premiere. I hate that it's so buggy (crashed all the time earlier this year, finally fixed).

Same problem.  First time using the app - can not even get past the first clip.  Restarted the program - restarted the computer - and reimported the clips.  The sound running at 50% for some reason.   So frustrating.

Hi Mike,

Sorry, you're running into this issue. I have a few guesses, but what would be most helpful is getting a sample file of the video and mp3 used in your project. Would you be willing to share that with me?

A few other thoughts:

  1. Does this happen in all projects?
  2. Does this happen if you have a synced or local project?

Thanks!

This problem happens to me as well, nothing I do fixes it. It happens with all kinds of source videos I try. It really makes Rush an unreliable tool. If I *HAD* to get stuff done I'd end up paying for another video editing app.
