Subtitles would be great

It would be really great if you could add subtitles to your videos in Rush... It really sucks that the only options are for graphics screens and overlays and none of them have subtitle options. I understand there are "Title" screens with underlying subtitles, but that's not what I'm looking for. I need a way to actually put words on the screen over the video, not have a separate screen with words.

Subtitles are frequently requested for Premiere Rush but not currently available. There is a post with a workflow for a workaround that you could try:

 

Otherwise, if you need the feature, you might consider opening your project up in Premiere Pro where more sophisticated features, such as Speech to Text and Captions, are available:
