Takes a LONG time to sync

I shot about 20 each one or two minute clips on my phone inside of Rush.  My goal was to edit on my laptop in Rush.  It didn't take long for a clip to show up on the laptop.  But the rest of them took about an hour each.  Both the phone and laptop where on a fast wifi.  

With Rush being too slow, I plugged the phone into the laptop, transferred the files and completed the project in Premiere Pro.   I'd still like to be able to use Rush.  

Is there a setting or practice I didn't find that would sync the projects faster?
