Question

Unsupported media type. Media could not be imported

I’m constantly getting the error “Unsupported media type. Media could not be imported” when trying to upload videos in the Adobe Rush app on my iPhone – and it’s extremely frustrating.

I’ve already switched the Camera settings to “Most Compatible” and I’m recording videos in 720p at 30 fps, but the problem persists. Both iOS and the Adobe app are fully up to date, so it’s not a versioning issue either.

Also, I find the usability of Adobe Rush on iPhone quite poor: for example, I can now only save files locally – there’s no longer an option to continue editing on the desktop version, which defeats the whole purpose of a cross-device workflow.

What settings do I need to change to make video import actually work?

And more importantly: Is there a better alternative mid-term – like Canva, for instance?

Hi,

Try turning off spatial audio in camera settings.

Thanks,
Kevin
