Question

Very poor performance of adobe apps recently - premiere rush

So recently multiple Adobe cloud apps started acting up terribly, adobe ps wouldn't focus stack a bunch of photos without freezing stubbornly before I rebooted the computer. But now premiere rush is acting much worse. I can't export a video without the app freezing, when I click cancel, since it stops progressing for over an hour, it cancels but then the whole system dies and I can't even move the mouse.

i7 8750H - 16GB. File size is 1300 MBs.

Honestly, this is just awful, adobe forces users to pay a monthly subscription fee instead of selling the apps for a fixed price, and in return offers piss poor quality. Is there anything I can do or is it time to start learning resolve now?

Hi Monro!

Sorry for the frustration. We can get this checked.

  • Are you getting any error codes or messages?
  • What type of media files are you editing (codec/ format, frame rate, frame size)?
  • Can you try resetting the preferences and see if that works? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvKL1Arhvl8

Let us know.

Thanks,

Kartika

Sadly it didn't work, btw: I'm now trying to render it at 720p mono audio and low quality, a 48mb file, rush still doesn't work. I redid the project in filmora go and was able to render it perfectly fine at 4k. That is freeware btw.

Honestly, it's starting to feel that adobe creative cloud is a huge waste of money.
