Question

Video comes out as a black screen with sound after exporting

Hi everyone! I'm using Premiere Rush on iPad and when I export my project, some parts of the video come out as a black screen with the audio still playing. The clips that come out black all come from the same source, and every other clip that is part of the project works fine.

If it's useful at all, the clips that come out black all imported into the project upside down and I had to rotate them. That's the only difference I can see between those clips and the others.

Thank you so much for your help!

I've seen a few reports of this happening now, although I have not been able to make it happen on my devices.

Can you tell me if this issue occurs with all projects, or is this is a specific project? Does all media from your iPhone 7 appear black in the exported file?

Does adjusting the export settings help? Can you try changing it from Automattic to 1080p 30fps?

If you wouldn't mind, getting a copy of the files causing this issue would be very helpful.

Thanks,

Peter

Hi Irene!

We're sorry about the trouble. I see that you're getting black screen after exporting your video. Am I correct?

Looking forward to your response.

Thank you,

Kartika

I am having a similar problem. My version is 1.5.10. The media files I am using are audio, music, b-roll from a Sony camera, and some talking head videos shot on an iPhone 7. Everything else is exporting fine but only the ones shot on iPhone 7 are exporting into a black screen.
