Video - getting washed out

I am importing several short videos clips from iOS Photos into Rush. If I have edited the length of any of the short videos in Photos or in Rush, when I export the final complied video, thoes edited clips ended up getting washed out . It looks like the saturation is turned down and the brightness is turned up, like the files are getting corrupted. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Rush app, but no luck.  The videos that are the original length have no issues.  Any sugggestions?

Hi @Jeff231,

Thanks for the message. Is this a newer iPhone? Rush doesn't do well with the HDR format. You might try converting the images to H.264 or ProRes LT in Media Encoder or a freeware utility like Shutter Encoder. That should work!

There is also a workaround where you place a title graphic over the footage. You can even turn off all the text layers in the graphic. Somehow the overlay converts the HDR footage to SDR visually, almost like a LUT. See if that could work for you, as well.

Cheers,
Kevin
