Videos coming out bleached

I am using an iPhone 15 with the latest software of Premiere Rush. The phone software is up-to-date  I've rebooted the phone, etc.  It's not just my phone software. It's also from a DJI camera. The color is coming out bleached. For example, a dark blue is coming out much lighter. I see a lot of of other complaints about the same issue online, but don't see a fix. Please advise.

Piperman,

Welcome here. Rush doesn't support HDR. A workaround is to place a blank title over the footage. See if that works for you. Otherwise, try switching off HDR in the settings for the device.

Cheers,
Kevin

That blows my mind that Adobe allows and app that is to be used with the most popular smart phone in the world... and it doesn't work. Ill try the work around.

Hey @Piperman92,

I read your note. Once again, welcome to the forum.

FYI, regarding my background and what I can do: I'm Kevin, from Adobe Digital Care and Enablement (Support). I am a mod here and not on the Rush team. I am a Rush user and was a senior level editor (and more) before I came to Adobe 14 years ago. I am your advocate to the Rush team and I will pass along the frustration.

You wouldn't be the first to complain about the lack of support for variations on formats (like HDR or spatial audio) since the application was created. Sorry about that. Personally, I don't bother shooting HDR as it's unnecessary, but it's on by default for every new iPhone. I recommend turning it off and working in Rec.709 color. IMO, HDR really complicates a standard color workflow and even pro colorists are not using HDR yet. Why add on a headache?

However, as a Rush user, I agree with you. It's one of the lame reasons I have not even bothered to update my iPhone.

There is hope! Check out the new mobile video editing app for iOS users that is now in Beta. It may work better for you and it's free to check out. See Project Violet on the app store and let us know if it works better for you.

Sorry for the hassle.

Cheers,
Kevin
