Voiceover files disappeared

Just recently started using premiere rush. 2nd time this happens that i spend hours recording voiceovers. And the files just disappear. They show up in the bar at the bottom. But there's no audio to them. In project assets it shows up as missing file. Very frustrating. Can't see anywhere to recover them from. Is there anyway to recover them or fix this?! Why is this happening?

    Try reconnecting the media to the clip. Right click on the audio clip to access that function.
