What video format?

My Iphone sends videos in .MOV format to my computer, but Rush won't play that format. I just get a big red screen with an exclaimation mark. Am I doing something wrong? How do I change the format and what ones are suitable? thanks!

Update: I still don't know why we can't use .mov files, but I found a quick converter in the App Store called Convert to MP4 Pro that was only $1.49. Really easy to use. Project back on track.
