Why can't I put youtube videos into my project.

I am currently doing a project which involves video editing and I am using Premiere Rush. However, I can't add any YouTube videos to it. If anyone could help, that would be great.

If you have the original video that you uploaded to YouTube, you can add that to your Premiere Rush project. Here are the supported formats for content that you can add:

 

It is possible to use 3rd party tools to download YouTube videos. If you are not the original owner of the YouTube content, then you may run into copyright issues though.
