Why can’t we just add text directly to a video in Rush?

When creating a video in Rush, the only options for text appeared to be templatized overlays that I had to customize but couldn't simply ad basic text in as an overlay. Is this a limitation of the software?

    Hi,

    It used to be there, but it was removed by the product team. Not sure why, but I don't like it much either, as a Rush user.. Sorry about that. Thanks for the request, though.

    Hi,
