Well, you can't get there from here, You need to take the old same road. - Firesign Theater
I have never been through [cursing removed} just to find a simple online application that is supposed to be free and is supposed to help make a simple slideshow. WindowsReport.com had a great article on the 5 best free slideshow makers (2022 Guide). They proudly hailed Adobe Spark the number one position.
The first paragraph of the article referencing Adobe Spark was as follows, "Adobe Spark is a free online slideshow maker with music and transition effects that is incredibly easy to use thanks to its simple navigation menus, premade images, and graphics, plus concisely labeled options."
What I didn't expect however, was that I've been chasing this ghost all morning and am about to call it quits and take a long nap. Apparently, I woke up stupid this morning.
I new I would have to compile the slideshow online. I assumed I would have to create an account, which I did. I foolishly thought I could meander my way to the software and start using it. Seemingly, it is everywhere except for where I look. Admittedly, I am tired and have not gone to bed from last night. My frustrations are probably deserved. In all honesty, I am not planning on purchasing anything. The article was clear and all I want to do is throw 200 photos from one folder into a slideshow maker. I don't need music and I don't want any transitions. This project could not be simpler and I am not going to spend any money for a project that should take 5 minutes. I have spent at least 2 hours following this yellow brick road but it seems to have detoured through quite a few rabbit holes. So in this energy crunch, "sho-nuf", I done run out of gas! I believe I will take that nap now. If anyone has been through a similar ordeal and wouldn't mind sharing the keys to the kingdom, I will check back in 6 - 8 hours. Thanks in advance for any efforts that may take place.
