Aero on Android updates?

Im not sure what the hold up is with android development and availability. This would make Aero my preferred choice for AR if it could get this up and running for both platforms. Im guessing it has something to do with Apple contracts that are holding this all up as development could be achieved within 6 months easily otherwise.
