Question

Can anyone with a mobile device view your Aero without an Adobe ID or Aero app?

I recently attended a recorded version of a webinar about Adobe Substance and Aero. The instructor seemed to say that you can develop a scene in Adobe Aero, share the QR code with anyone, and their IOS device will be able to scan that code and they can view the scene WITHOUT the Adobe Aero App or an Adobe ID. Is that correct?

I have tried the QR code from the instructor and it won't work on my mobile devices without opening the app. This is a snippet from one of your product pages: https://www.adobe.com/products/aero.html, specifically: Instant Aero. Wherever you AR.
Now anyone can view your projects without downloading an app. Distributing your work is as easy as sharing a QR code that will launch AR on smart devices.

Is this truly the case? What might I be doing wrong when viewing the instructor's QR code?

Hi @MattHetzel yes one should be able to view the experience as an app clip on Ios iOS 14.2 or higher without logging in if they do have Aero installed. I'm happy to check your project please PM me the link or QR code. Thanks

Is it still the case that end-users would need Aero installed? Articles i've read suggest that newer devices and browsers would render the AR experience without the app, but I can't seem to get it to work outside the Aero app whether the app is installed or not in any number of tested browsers and devices (iPad, iPhone, Safari, Chrome).

Aero seems REALLY great, but without the ability to share the end result to broader users; without them needing to download Aero.. it seems quite pointless.
