Can't import anything to Adobe Aero Desktop

Hi there,

I can't seem to import anything into aero, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't with most pics and stuff but Import function in general doesn't work and i can not force the program to display any of my 3d assets, no matter how little and optimized they are. It starts loading with "optimizing import" and never finishes. I already reinstalled, tried different version, tried on mobile version, deleted app data info, NOTHING seems to work, any idea???

Have a great day,

Flora

Hello, I was having the same problem and apparently it was because I was placing special characters in the name of my file, since I was putting an accent on a word, removing it solved the problem, greetings

Same here, I cannot import a simple .JPEG file without getting this error.
I have no special characters or spaces in the file name either.

I am working on a mac with 14.1. I have got the same problem. I tried to make this tutorial: "Importing Character Animations" a offical adobe tutorial and downloaded the associated files. Same error when I try to apply a animation to a character.
Failed to import /Dance_Anims_FBX.fbx. Reason: RT3D Import failed

Me three. I can import models fine, models with an animation are fine, but when I just try to import a .fxb with just an armature and the animation programmed, I get the same error.

I'm on Windows 10 Pro Build 19045

Hi @péterk15717593(Flora), thanks for the report. We do have a bug right now where is there are any spaces in your file path, it may cause import errors i.e. c:/My Files/3dmodel.glb. can you check if you have any spaces in your folder names? If not, please let me know what hardware you are using, your OS, and the Aero version(Aero->About Aero for the main menu) Thanks!

Hey Red 🙂
French person here, I had the same problem and it came from the name of my file.

It shouldn't contain spaces, neather any special character.

I retired the accentuated signs (é, à, ç...) and it solved my problem. I think your import problem can come from the chinese caracters in your file name.

I reply a long time after your comment but I guess it can be useful to anybody.

I think you are right! Although the project ended a long time ago, I still vaguely remember that the import was eventually successful as long as the special characters were removed
