Hi @Lake County27869472iyuk

The Aero player for Android is supported for the following:

  • Samsung Galaxy S21
  • Samsung Galaxy S20
  • Samsung Galaxy S10+
  • Pixel 4XL

On any other device it will not appear in the play store.

That being siad we are working on laeger device coverage and other improvements on the Android front. Thanks for your patience and will post updates when they are available.

Thanks

It's been nearly 4 years since the latest update on the supported platforms, google provides a pretty complete list of devices that support arcore but Adobe is limiting this pretty hard. Why can't pixel 8 devices work for instance? 6 and 7 are listed but not 8?

July 2024 - It would be great for Adobe to update artists and developers on the roll out of Aero for Android. We have been doing some tests and really impressed with the app clip work flow on iOS. It would be a game changer if Adobe could get this truly cross-platform...

You might want to join their AERO Discord channel.  Although there is not a fulltime moderator, it's kept up a little bit more.

AERO does work on android devices, but it can be device dependent depending on the age and model of their phone.  I have not had trouble with the links not working but i've heard others have.  recommend try sending the user the QR code to scan as opposed to just the link.

Hi. It seems this forum is no longer being monitored by an Adobe employee. Is that correct? Will there be any more news about AERO, or is it dead in terms of development? If so, that's really sad news! Thank you!

I haven't tested AERO yet on S22 -  but in general I have had problems with across multiple AR platforms with S22's.  I think google changed somethign with the depth perception(?) and it can cause problems.

Sadly this is one of the biggest hang-ups for Aero making any progress in AR. If artists can't share projects across all platforms there's not a reason to build anything on adobe's software.

I don't want to overlook the massive amount of work to make this happen, but it's been a couple years and very little progress or clarification of what and when. Really hoping to see significant progress this year, and rooting for Adobe as the last thing I want is Meta becoming the dominant platform.

I agree! I am holding off using Aero for any big projects because I can't really share it with non-iPhone users. Hoping for good news soon! I think Aero is an awesome tool!! Rooting for Adobe too!

Hi @markhellar, can you please give us a hint when we can expect a new version? The last release for android was in 2021. It seems that Adobe will not continue Aero 😥
