Geo-location functions

Hi, I have been testing the new location feature, and I have a couple of questions about how it works and its intended functionality.

 

  • When picking a location, it zooms in to the chosen street area. In the street view, some houses are displayed in 3D, and it works fine there.
  • However, in some areas, it's just a zoomed-in map without any 3D representation, and my experiences don't work there.
  • Is this the expected behavior when the chosen location differs from the displayed street view?
  • When using the app and locking the screen, upon reopening, it attempts to relocate the location.
  • However, even if at the same starting point, it fails to find the location again, only working on the first experience launch.
  • Is this a known issue due to the beta version?
  • If tracking is lost during a larger experience covering an entire residential location:
    • Should I be able to "re-find" the location anywhere along the route where objects were placed?
    • Or should it only be possible at the original x0, y0, z0 point?

Additional question: How does it determine the location? Does it use visual clues, GPS, or both?

And one more question: Will the app reconfirm the user's location during the experience? I am conducting a test where, each time a new coin appears, participants need to follow it and get close to it using a proximity trigger. Within a 25-meter radius, the coins move from the middle of the street to people's gardens.. (It doesn't stop the players do 😄 )
