How does the location based anchor work?

Hi,

 

How does it know where is the location.

 

In my city it worked, I made an experience in a park: and instantly it says: unable to determine device location.

 

Is it me, or do I need trigger points of some kind?

    I am getting unable to determine device location on both iOS and Google phones.  Location is allowed for these apps. somewhere the app isn't recognising the explicit permissions to use location, or it is flagging an error in resolving it. Either way, this sucks and leaves the app as a curiosity , not really functional for my use case.

      In the last Beta-version update manual it says that it only works at the locations where in Google maps the 'orange man' can be placed. 

       

      And if you are at an location where that isn't the case, you can upload a 3D scanned file, to match the missing envirmonent. And then it should be able to recognize it too.

       

      (Not tested by me yet).

      Orange Man is presented in the location that I'm using right now. but still, I'm getting this error.
