1-D barcode in Acrobat Reader DC

For PDF Barcode Form Fields,

There are symbology options PDF417, QR Code, or Data Matrix.

But i would like to add linear barcode in to the form but we could do only 2D via PDF417 symbology.

Is there a way we can include 1D barcode ? can we get an Add-on or something to include this requirement

Hi,

Could you please let me know whether there are any 1D barcode font available in Acrobat Reader DC.

They are not available in the application itself. You need to install them on your computer and then when you create a form text field (in Acrobat) that uses them they will automatically be embedded into the file and the user would be able to change the value of the field.

Built-in barcode form fields are not supported in Acrobat Reader.

You must create your own JavaScript engine.

1D-barcodes are supported in Reader, if you do it like I described.

And 2D-barcodes are also supported, but in order to be able to change their values (in Reader) the file needs to have a special right applied to it, that's true.

You can do it using a text field if you have a font that supports that

symbology.
