Hello,Inside a PDF I have some crossed out lines. I would like to OCR the text and keep only the text (without these crossed out lines). How to do it ? 

Tools stopped working for my subscription to Adobe Acrobat Pro -- unable able to edit, organize pages, etc.  Troubleshooting included closing/reopening Acrobat, restarting laptop, and ending Acrobat in Task Manager.  Also tried checking for updates, but update failed at first. Functionality returned after a successful second attempt at updating.  Has anyone else had problems with Tools after last updates to Adobe -- Continuous Version on 3/26/2026 and Security Update on 4/11/2026.

Suddenly getting Acrobat using a crazy amount of memory on many users at work. Have tried clearing the prefs and the page cache. Even installed acrobat again on some machines but has come back 24 hours later. Any reccomendations for a fix would be great 

The highlighter tool switches to a text selection I-beam when it thinks there is OCR'd text. I've tried to get rid of the OCR text ghost via "Protect PDF" and hiding/removing data and that is totally ineffective. Also, saving as with both optimized and reduced size does not make a difference.

I have hundreds of multiple existing fields that I would like to quickly rename.The fields are named so that they all end in “.#”. For example:afieldname.1bfieldname.1cfieldname.1dfieldname.1efieldname.1ffieldname.1gfieldname.1hfieldname.1etc…Is it possible to quickly keep the first part of the field name and just change the “.1” to “.2” for all the fields with the same extension?Any help with this would be a huge time saver and greatly appreciated!

I've been a long-time user of Adobe Acrobat Pro products for over twenty years, and during that time I have never had trouble digitally signing documents until now.  In the past month or so (Sept-Oct 2020), I've noticed that if a colleage sends me a PDF document to sign after already having signed it him/herself, I cannot add my signature field to it.  The document is locked for any further editing, including adding form fields such as digital signatures.  The Fill & Sign features also does not work because the first author of the document did not add a second signature field for me to sign. The only workarounds I've found that work are: 1) Ask the person to go back to the original unsigned document, add two signature fields, sign one, and send to me to sign the other; and 2) Just send me the original unsigned document, I add a signature field for my signature, and send to the person to then add the second signature.  While these do skirt around the problem

I just purchased a Adobe Acrobat Pro subscription, and tried to upgrade my Adobe Acrobat. However, I am running into a repeated issue where Adobe says "Upgrading Key Features" and getting stuck on continously installing. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Acrobat. Please help. I am about to ask for a refund, this is horrible design and service if even after I pay I cannot use it. 

Hey Guys,So there is only one way that I know of to have pdf’s from dwg files that are 100% reliably searchable, and that is loading the dwg directly into Acrobat Pro.  Way back when, I used to use Acrobat Pro X and then XI and then I also upgraded to DC and it worked for some time until it didn’t.  The question is, does anyone know the latest version that I could install that would have this capability? I’m also not entirely sure of the dwg version at that time either.  It is likely pre 2018 so I may have been using AutoCAD 2014 version drawings.  I’ve been without this feature for many years hoping that there would be someone that did this.  No 3rd party PDF maker that I’m aware of creates searchable PDF’s from DWG files.  OCR is a nightmare and isn’t 100%.  True 100% is directly loading the DWG into Acrobat Pro. Acrobat Enterprise Release Notes — Acrobat-Acrobat Reader Release Notes Here are DC versions.  I’m thinking I’ll have to write a script to open and save the dwg as an older

Hello All,Couple days ago, my Acrobat Pro started creating weird lines withing the ruler when I move the mouse over the document. The more I move over the document, the more lines, until they completely saturate the ruler beyond recognition. I uninstall Acrobat Pro through the Creative Cloud Desktop and reinstalled; and it was working fine for a couple documents but has now returned. I do not have grid lines enabled, any ideas…? I have included 3 pictures…First picture is when I open the document, everything is normal.Second picture, just a quick movement of the mouse over the document, weird lines are starting to appear on the ruler.Third picture, continuing to move the mouse over the document (no clicking, just scrolling) and it completely saturates the ruler beyond recognition.  I have also closed out of Acrobat, shutdown the computer and restarted, same result.Thanks for any help.

I have been trying to request signatures on Adobe DC.When doing so I have Receive a big white box appears and Adobe is unresponsive.The this is from a downloaded PDF and using the desktop app.Using windows 10 Version 21H1 x64 (KB4023057)Things I have  tried include:Checking for updates.Restarting the machine.Re-installing Adobe.Turning off the PDF/A viewing mode.Remove Adobe Intermediate CA and Adobe Content Certificates.Remove Adobe user and Adobe App Certificates. I am not sure how to proceed. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi!I’m running Adobe Acrobat Continuous Release Version 2026.001.21367 | 64-bit.Everything was fine earlier this month. However, by Friday, April 3rd, I started having problems with Acrobat crashing every time I tried to delete text inside a container in the Content Panel.At first, when I deleted the whole container, it would also make the container below disappear as well, but the physical content on the page would still be there and would re-appear once the file was save.Then, I had to revise/replace some text in an H2 tag—not all the text but only some–in a 508-compliant PDF. I had a separate replacement PDF with the correct text and my 508-compliant PDF I was working on. In the 508 file, I went into the Content Panel and tried to delete some of the text in a container and it kept crashing. Over and over it crashed. Then, I separated out the text I needed to replace from the rest of its companion and was able to delete it and then copy in the new text.This is a new development with

Hello,I’m facing a issue with the viewing of colors in Acrobat,I made my pdf in PackZ and in it, my layer of “2_White” seems constrasted good (I have some parts that are 70% screening) but when I open it in Acrobat and my colleagues as well, we barely see the difference when we only have the layer of 2_White (without going into the preview with the separations)Even when I’m trying to increase the value of my Lab I still don’t see the constrat in Acrobat. See the screenshots bellow for the view of both PackZ and Acrobat.We tried different parameters but we can’t see what to do. Thanks

I am using Adobe Cloud to save PDFs to my Adobe site and then inviting my team to view and comment. Regardless of whether I type their emails in to invite them personally, or just share the link (set up to “anyone with the link can comment”), they cannot access the files. Adobe is asking them to sign in, but they don’t have accounts. Surely they don’t need to?

The accessibility tagging tool in Adobe Acrobat Pro does not highlight any items/content on the screen when I click a tag - which it used to do just ago, highlighting them in a purple box. No matter what I tried - even the ones that are suggested some people from adobe, it did not work. I had to take a close look at the current tags and contents from the pages so that I could make sense of what they are and manually tag/untag/retag them. By the way, the automatic tagging still works, and the contents are being highlighted when clicked through the reading order or page content in the panel on the right-hand side. Please can someone share a solution to this? I am currently doing accessibility audits and the deadline is soon.

Why does the Accessibility Auto-Tag make tags that fail the Accessibility Checker? Every little thing is wrapped up in TH, TR, and TD tags unnecessarily. Workarounds?

We previously were able to disable this prompt with the settings described in this post:But this is no longer working anymore as of version 2026.001.21367 Is there a way to have Acrobat to default to the “open” option? Then we can checkout and update the document if edits are made?

I have had Creative Cloud for years and just discovered that it was what has been causing my computer to lock up so (after A LOT of frustration) I removed it. I still need Acrobat PRO on my PC though and I can only find download options that also contain creative cloud. Does anyone know of a way to get around this? TIA!!!

Hi folks, PDF files give me a pink background for transparent elements, and when importing an image with a white background too.I’ve tried:displaying transparency changing RVB/CMYK checking if there are disability options uninstall/reinstall update windowsI couldn’t reproduce on a different computer on windows. What could be the cause of this issue?

So it was bad enough that constantly had close 2-3 popups when opening Adobe Acrobat Pro, now it weaseled it’s way into my Windows 11 Notifications.  I don’t understand, is the monthly subscription I’m paying to Adobe not enough? Why do you think it’s a good idea to aggravate your customers like this?  Yeah I know there are settings I can disable in Preferences. Guess what, I did and you added more! Please, Adobe, stop the Enshittification of your excellent products!

I have a form where the number is not really a list, but they are numbered by sections. I’ve manually tagged them as lists, however, I keep getting warnings on PAC and I honestly am not sure how to tag it properly!<section> <L> <LI> <Lbl> 3. Is there something I can do to fix this?

Login issue, i was unable to login to Corporate profile hence changed the email address. Now i cannot revert back and still unable to login to Corporate Profile

When I try to log in to Adobe Acrobat, a white screen appears and prevents me from accessing my profile. I don't even have the chance to enter my login credentials because the white screen appears immediately. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program multiple times, but the problem persists. Could you please provide some advice on how to fix this? Thank you!
