    Hi All,

Thank you for your patience so far.

The team has confirmed that, with the current snapshot tool, the print option is not available and the current workflow is as designed.

However, after receiving multiple requests, the team will be adding a toggle to switch back to the old behaviour if they want to use the print functionality within the snapshot tool workflow.

The option will be available in the future release. Once it is available, we will update the thread with the version details.

    Hope the information helps.

    Thanks,

    Meenakshi

This lack of function has been a nightmare.  I went through support a few weeks ago and they wasted a few hours of my time requiring me to reinstall things and nothing changed.

Why do you remove tools and function without warning or even updating your support?  Those of us who use this program as is don’t appreciate changes that make the program less functional and difficult to use.

Thank you Meenakshi! Any rough estimate on when that update will be available?

    Hi @Exigent329120552xj6

We do not have a fixed time line for the issue. We will keep you updated as soon as we hear anything from the development team.

    Thank you for your understanding.

I want to echo the comments before me.  This new snapshot tool lost what made the pervious version so helpful.  Pasting the snapshot from the clipboard to another program is not only a slower process, but also has the snapshot pixelated, low quality.  The snapshot tool worked great before this change, allowing you to select the area you want and print at that same quality to the selected paper size.  This was a crucial part of my workflow and really missed.  I don’t understand why the change was made.

Please send me this as well - I use this tool all day every day at my job just like OP. It was working fine and now all of a sudden, today 6/1, it has changed to the same crosshair and bubble thing. I must have accidentally clicked something and now I cannot get it back!!

    Hi FlyLily,

    Thank you for reaching out.

This is how the tool looks now. We’ve simply added a magnifying circle next to the cursor to help you capture the perfect snapshot. As you move it around, you'll notice the cursor positioned at the centre of the blue lines in black.

Could you please let us know if you are experiencing any issues with this tool when using it to take the snapshot?

Let us know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Meenakshi

    Hi zin38041344p0py, and Anon5667,

    Thank you for reaching out.

The tool remains the same; we’ve simply added a magnifying circle next to the cursor to help you capture the perfect snapshot. As you move it around, you'll notice the cursor positioned at the center of the blue lines in black.

Regarding the printing issue, could you please provide a short video demonstrating the steps you take to capture a snapshot and print it? Additionally, please share the version numbers of Acrobat and your operating system.

Let us know if you need any help.

    Thanks,

    Meenakshi

    Thank you for answering.

With the “old” tool if u snapshot an area, the area stays selected and u can print out the selected area. With the new tool the area does not stay selected it only copies to the clipboard.

I have to then copy it into word or paint to print out the selected area
