Aptos Font Rendering Issues in Adobe Acrobat

I've seen this lingering around for a while now and I wanted to make this to let Adobe know there IS a problem and it is something to do with Acrobat.

I have been a graphic designer for many years and I know how to install a font so please do not comment telling me I have to install the font.

I have tested this with Adobe products as well as Microsoft products and the issue still persits - with one key difference, if exported as an image the text is perfect. If it's exported as a PDF the text gets distorted unless you are at 150% zoom or higher.

Yep, confirming it’s July 2026 and this is still occurring exactly as others have reported in this thread. Please advise if a fix is coming soon as it looks tremendously unprofessional

Hi there

Hope you're doing well, and thank you for reaching out.

This issue has already been reported to our engineering team and is currently being worked on. To help us further, could you please confirm the version of Adobe Acrobat and the operating system you're using?

To check your Acrobat version, go to Help > About Acrobat and ensure it’s updated to the latest version 25.01.2043X. You can update it by going to Help > Check for Updates, and don’t forget to reboot your computer after the update.

Let us know if the issue persists after updating.

I was not the initiator of this thread but I can confirm the issue is still present.
It seems to be a display rendering problem. I thing the printout look ok.
In short, some font sizes or zoom level cause some characters to display incorrectly. (e.g. see screenshot of pdf showing small 'e'). The zoom level is full page and font size is 10 and 11. The overall crispness of the font at this level is also not good. Alternative fonts like Calibri look much crisper.

When you zoom in, both the letter rendering and the crispness are both fine (see attached).

My pdf version is also attached below

For more information, I note that if I open the pdf in a browser (e.g. Chrome), the fonts are displayed fine. This further points to Adobe Acrobat not rendering the fonts correctly?
