%20 for spaces

When saving PDFs in Acrobat, spaces in file names are now written as %20. I don't think this was always true.  Does anyone know how to tell Acrobat to use plain old text spaces instead of writing %20? Thanks!

Hi Scott @Scott Citron,

What OS?

Which version of Acrobat?

New interface or "classic"?

Does it do this to all PDF files saved from Acrobat?

Or are they exported PDFs from other programs?

My first reaction is that %20 is HTML code, not PDF code, so I'm leaning toward it's not Acrobat that made the change.

I'm on the ISO committee for PDF (ISO 32000) and I can't recall anything in the formal PDF specification that would automatically do this, but I admit that it's been a few months since I last took a long dive into the 1000+ page spec.

Glad to hear that.

But curious. Any idea why it disappeared?
