A non-tech person here. I think I changed my Adobe format to DC? My pdf's don't look the same (now I have a large menu down the right side, can't save, etc. How do I switch back?

The Preferences can be accessed via the Edit menu (or the app menu if you're on a Mac).

The Save icon will become available after you edit the file. If you just want to save it in a different location use Save As.

DC is just the version number of the latest Adobe Acrobat/Acrobat Reader application. It has nothing to do with the PDF files themselves.

The Tools menu on the right-hand side can be disabled via the Preferences: Permanently close the Tools pane in Acrobat Reader DC

And it should be possible to save your files. When happens when you attempt to do so?

Thanks for the reply.

I don't have a Preferences option on the right side. I have a list that starts with "Export PDF" and ends with "More Tools" which when clicked doesn't take me to a Preferences option.

The Save icon in the upper left is greyed out. I can save to the Cloud but only want to save to my laptop.

Cheers,

Steve
