Accesibility tags choosing letters instead of words

Question

While trying to add an accessibility tag, when I click on "Create tag from selection", many times it pulls over each letter as a new tag instead of the word and/or the highlighted sentence.  This is happening on all PDFs, not just certain ones.  Please help with what I am doing wrong.  See image for reference.

As you add tags to the PDF, please follow the steps outlined in the following help document: https://adobe.ly/4rbTI0p.

If your problem persists, please share a video showing the steps you took and what happened. It will help us understand the issue. Also, share the Acrobat and OS version numbers currently in use.
